Manchester United will take on Brighton on Thursday night as they travel to the Falmer Stadium, looking to grab all three points from this contest. The Red Devils will come into the match on the back of a narrow 1-0 victory over Aston Villa in their last outing, so they’ll have to perform better to come out on top.
Erik ten Hag will probably opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few changes to the frontline. Antony could start at the right-wing position while Marcel Sabitzer drops to the bench.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted XI Vs Brighton
Defence
David de Gea will function in between the sticks for Man United after conceding a goal in his last outing against the Villans. Victor Lindelof will continue to play alongside Luke Shaw at the heart of ten Hag’s defence as they look to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Diogo Dalot will fill in as the left-back, while Tyrell Malacia hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the right-back. They will be allowed to express themselves in the Villa half to create some decent chances from the wide areas.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be available for selection on the bench as he offers cover for the left-back position.
Midfield
Christian Eriksen and Casemiro will operate as the holding midfielders as they focus on winning possession for the Red Devils at the centre of the park.
The talented trio of Antony, Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho will function just ahead of them as part of the Man United attack. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if Man United are to secure a convincing win in this away encounter.
Fred and Marcel Sabitzer will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if ten Hag decides to call upon their services.
Attack
Marcus Rashford will lead the line for the Mancunian giants in the final third. The English sensation will fancy his chance of finding the back of the net against the Seagulls.
Wout Weghorst will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to impact in the latter stages if required.
