Tottenham Hotspur entertained Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to grind out a positive result at home in the Premier League. Spurs made a decent start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Emiliano Buendia finally broke the deadlock in the 50th minute before Douglas Luiz made it 2-0 to the Villans in the 73rd minute when he scored from close range. The contest ended with the North London club suffering a 2-0 loss in front of their home fans.
