Aston Villa clashed heads with Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier today as they looked to secure maximum points away from home in the Premier League. The Villans kept things solid at the back in the first 45 minutes and managed to get to the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.

Emiliano Buendia scored the opening goal for the West Midlands club in the 50th minute before Douglas Luiz added another goal in the 73rd minute when he found the back of the net from close range. The contest finished with the Villans earning an impressive 2-0 win on the road.

Luiz was a positive influence at both ends of the field and scored a good goal in the 73rd minute to make life easy for his team late in the game.

The Argentine talent came back to defend when needed and was a threat on the left flank. He scored the opening goal in the 50th minute.

He struggled to influence the game in the final third and got replaced in the 65th minute.
