Arsenal have bounced back from their poor performance before the international break. They overpowered Nottingham Forest by 3-0 at home to collect three vital points in the Premier League. Their next challenge lies with Sporting CP in the Champions League.
It will be a tough game and an opportunity for Mikel Arteta’s side to test themselves. The Portuguese side are in terrific form and beating them will surely enhance the Gunners’ confidence which they need for the upcoming fixtures next month.
4-3-3 Arsenal Predicted Lineup Vs Sporting CP
Defence
David Raya didn’t have much to do well in the previous game. He will don the gloves once again for the Gunners. Right-back Jurrien Timber enjoyed a great time on Saturday night and would be eager to continue his good form.
The centre-back duo of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes remain intact. They have been effective so far and will have a big role to play once again. Riccardo Calafiori should be continued as the left-back if he gets the green light.
Midfield
A well-rested Declan Rice is set to walk back into the XI at the cost of Jorginho. While Martin Odegaard would be an automatic pick, Mikel Arteta will have a tough choice to make between Mikel Merino and Thomas Partey.
Attack
Surprisingly, Gabriel Jesus started the game against Nottingham Forest. As he failed to impress, Kai Havertz should return to his role. Bukayo Saka is carrying good form and he would like to find the back of the net once again.
Gabriel Martinelli will also be called up by the manager to operate on the left flank at the expense of Leandro Trossard.
Ben White (knee), Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee) and Kieran Tierney (hamstring) are the confirmed absentees for this fixture.
