Manchester United will face off against Brentford at Gtech Community Stadium this Saturday night as they look to secure a good result on their travels in the Premier League. The Red Devils managed to earn a hard-fought 4-3 win versus Liverpool at Old Trafford in the FA Cup before the international break which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.
Erik ten Hag will set his team up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to name a strong first team for this game. However, the Man United boss would be sweating on the fitness of Casemiro and Jonny Evans.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Brentford
Defence
Andre Onana will play in between the sticks for the Mancunian club after shipping in three goals in his last appearance. Jonny Evans, who is a major doubt for this game, will feature alongside Raphael Varane at the centre of ten Hag’s defence as they look to keep things solid on the defensive end of the field.
Diogo Dalot will play as the right-back while Victor Lindelof fills in on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Harry Maguire is a major doubt for this game. Willy Kambwala will offer cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.
Midfield
Casemiro will anchor the midfield alongside Kobbie Mainoo as they look to win the 50-50 duels in the middle of the park. The talented trio of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho will operate just ahead of them as part of the Man United attack. Both Rashford and Mainoo will look to stretch the pitch at every chance they get out in the wide areas.
Christian Eriksen and Sofyan Amrabat will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Rasmus Hojlund will lead the charge for the Red Devils in the final third. He has to find a way to threaten the Brentford goal throughout the 90 minutes.
Antony will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the final quarter if Man United are in need of a goal by then.
