Aston Villa will entertain Wolverhampton Wanderers at Villa Park this Saturday evening as they try to collect maximum points at home in the Premier League. The Villans were held to a 1-1 draw away at West Ham United before the international break, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways in the Premier League this weekend.
Unai Emery will opt for the 4-4-1-1 formation once again and could make a couple of tweaks to his first XI for this game. Tim Iroegbunam and Moussa Diaby will get a chance to play from the start of this contest.
4-4-1-1 Aston Villa Predicted Lineup To Face Wolves
Defence
Emiliano Martinez will feature in between the sticks for the Villans after shipping in one goal in his last outing. Pau Torres will operate alongside Clement Lenglet at the centre of the Aston Villa backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Alex Moreno will fill in as the left-back while Ezri Konsa hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the right-back. Both of them will get the freedom to get forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Diego Carlos will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Douglas Luiz and Tim Iroegbunam will operate as the holding midfielders as they focus on winning the 50-50 duels at the centre of the park. Leon Bailey would try to put his quickness to good use on the right wing while Youri Tielemans fills in as the left-sided wide player.
Moussa Diaby will play in the number ten position as he looks to offer decent support to his teammates up top. Emery will give him the license to express himself in the Wolves half.
Nicolo Zaniolo will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Ollie Watkins will lead the charge for the West Midlands club in the final third. He has to find a way to cause some problems for the opposition centre-halves during the game.
