Manchester United faced off against Copenhagen at the Parken Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win on their travels in the UEFA Champions League. The Red Devils made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the third-minute thanks to Rasmus Hojlund’s effort. Hojlund doubled his team’s advantage in the 28th minute. However, Marcus Rashford was sent off just 14 minutes later which put the visitors at a numerical disadvantage.
Copenhagen capitalised as they scored in the 45th minute courtesy of Mohamed Elyounoussi’s goal. Diogo Goncalves equalised for the home team from the penalty spot in the dying embers of the first half as Man United went into the half-time break with a 2-2 scoreline.

Erik ten Hag’s ten-men managed to keep a solid shape in the second half and grabbed the lead again in the 69th minute with the help of Bruno Fernandes’ penalty. However, Copenhagen responded positively and scored twice in the latter stages of the game thanks to a goal each from Lukas Lerager and Rocny Bardghji respectively. The contest ended with Man United earning a hard-fought 4-3 loss away from home.
