In a recent report, Sabah offered an update on the future of Rangers winger Ryan Kent. It has been claimed that the English talent is set to join Fenerbahce on a three-year contract when his contract runs out in the summer.

Kent’s Impressive Form In Scottish Football

Kent has enjoyed a decent season at the Ibrox Stadium as he has managed to put in a string of productive performances for the Gers in the final third. The 26-year-old has been involved in 44 matches for the Scottish club during this campaign, netting three goals and picking up ten assists in all competitions.

The former Liverpool talent has been a reliable performer in the final third based on his average of 2.1 shots, 2.2 key passes and 1.9 dribbles per game in the Scottish Premiership. He has even been excellent when distributing possession in the opponent’s half after making 89.1% of his attempted passes in the Scottish top tier (stats via whoscored).

His current deal with the Gers will expire at the end of this season. Hence, Michael Beale will be powerless to stop him from leaving this summer.

Kent Is Set To Leave Rangers To Join Fenerbahce: Good Move For Everyone Involved?

Kent is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can be quite clever with his movements in and around the opposition penalty box. He has got the vision to engineer some clear-cut chances in the final third.

The English sensation can also create some inviting chances for his teammates in the opponent’s half. He is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also fill in as a right-winger or as a centre-forward if his manager asks him to do so.

Kent has been an important member of Rangers‘ squad over the past few years. Thus, it is only fair to the player if the Gers allow him to leave at the end of this campaign.

At 26, Kent is about to enter his prime, so he will be a big loss for the Scottish club this summer. However, they can finally part ways with him and hopefully bring in a suitable replacement in this off-season. All in all, Kent’s exit will be a good move for everyone involved as Fenerbahce will also be getting a quality player ahead of the new campaign.
