Chelsea clashed heads with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to grind out a result in the London derby. The Blues made a horror start to the game and conceded three goals inside the first 34 minutes of the contest. Martin Odegaard scored a quick-fire brace before Gabriel Jesus got his name on the scoresheet for the Gunners as well. Frank Lampard’s men went into the half-time interval 3-0 down on the scoreline.

Noni Madueke got a goal back for the visitors in the 65th minute as the contest finished with Chelsea suffering a 3-1 defeat in the London derby.

Let’s take a look at how each Chelsea player fared during the match against the Gunners.

GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga – 7/10

The Spaniard made a handful of important saves at the back but still ended up conceding three goals tonight.

RB: Cesar Azpilicueta – 6/10

He got stuck in with some crunching tackles but failed to impress on the right flank.

CB: Wesley Fofana – 6.5/10

Fofana did his fair share of defending and made two good runs with the ball.

CB: Thiago Silva – 7.5/10

The Brazilian talent made a lot of important clearances at the back but won’t be happy about his first-half performance tonight.

LB: Ben Chilwell – 6/10

Chilwell did what he could do on the defensive end of the field but offered very little going forward.

CM: N’Golo Kante – 6/10

He struggled to get a foothold in the game and produced an underwhelming display at the centre of the park.

CM: Enzo Fernandez – 6/10

The Argentina international struggled to get a foothold in the game and was substituted in the 70th minute.

CM: Mateo Kovacic – 7/10

He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch and ended the game with an assist to his name.

RW: Noni Madueke – 7.5/10

Madueke came back to defend when needed and was a great dribbler with the ball at his feet. He scored his team’s only goal in the 65th minute.

ST: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 5.5/10

Aubameyang struggled to get into the flow of the game and never looked like he would score.

LW: Raheem Sterling – 6/10

He failed to impress on the left flank and did well to last 70 minutes.

Substitutes:

ST: Kai Havertz – 6.5/10

Havertz was a threat in the final third.

LW: Mykhailo Mudryk – 6.5/10

He engineered a few decent chances for others around him.

CM: Conor Gallagher – 6/10

Gallagher added some energy to Lampard’s midfield.

RW: Hakim Ziyech – 6/10

His impact on the game was minimal.

CB: Trevoh Chalobah – N/A

He came on for the final few minutes of the derby.
