Manchester City entertained Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn a win at home in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola‘s men made a bright start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 12th minute when Julian Alvarez got his name on the scoresheet. Man City controlled the game well and went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

The Mancunian side were solid in the second half and earned a narrow 1-0 win in front of their home supporters.

Let’s take a look at how each Manchester City player performed during the clash against the Blues.

GK: Stefan Ortega – 8/10

Ortega made a few crucial saves at the back and secured a well-deserved clean sheet at home.

CB: Kyle Walker – 6.5/10

He made a couple of important clearances inside his half and was good on the ball.

CB: Manuel Akanji – 6.5/10

Akanji kept things solid at the back and got replaced in the 56th minute.

CB: Aymeric Laporte – 7/10

The Spaniard dealt with the danger when needed and performed well enough to bag a clean sheet.
