Barcelona entertained Atletico Madrid at the Nou Camp earlier today as they looked to earn all three points in front of their home fans. The Catalan club made a good start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 44th minute when Ferran Torres got his name on the scoresheet. Barca went into the half-time interval 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Xavi’s men sat on their lead well in the second 45 minutes and secured a narrow 1-0 win at home in La Liga.

Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player fared during the match against Atletico Madrid.

GK: Marc-André ter Stegen – 7/10

The German keeper made a few solid saves at the back and earned a well-deserved clean sheet at the Nou Camp.

RB: Jules Kounde – 7.5/10

He didn’t do much wrong at the back and had a couple of lively moments going forward.

CB: Ronald Araujo – 7/10

Araujo cleared the danger when needed and did enough to secure a clean sheet this afternoon.

CB: Marcos Alonso – 6.5/10

The Spaniard kept things solid at the back and was replaced at the hour mark.

He was hardly tested defensively and was a good presence on the ball.

CM: Frenkie de Jong – 7/10

De Jong was a positive influence in both halves and was accurate with his passing.

CM: Sergio Busquets – 6.5/10

The Spanish talent anchored the midfield well but offered very little going forward.

CM: Gavi – 6.5/10

He had a few shot attempts but failed to register a goal today.

RW: Raphinha – 8/10

Raphinha caused all kinds of problems for the Atletico defenders and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

ST: Robert Lewandowski – 7/10

He caused a few headaches for the opposition defenders but gave away the ball cheaply at times.

LW: Ferran Torres – 7.5/10

Torres scored the only goal of the contest just before the half-time break. He had a quiet game otherwise.

Substitutes:

CM: Pedri – 6/10

He added some energy to Barca’s midfield.

CB: Eric Garcia – 6.5/10

Garcia made one key chance in the final third.

CM: Franck Kessie – 6/10
