Chelsea entertain Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result at home. The Blues dominated the ball in the first 45 minutes and took the lead just before the half-time break when Kai Havertz found the back of the net.

Christian Pulisic made it 2-0 to Chelsea in the 54th minute before Armando Broja made the points secure with a late goal. The match ended with the West London club earning a 3-0 victory at home.

Let’s take a look at how each Chelsea player performed during the match against Wolves.

GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga – 7/10

The Spanish keeper made a couple of solid saves during the game and secured an easy clean sheet at home.

RB: Cesar Azpilicueta – 7.5/10

Azpilicueta earned the ball back twice and engineered a few decent chances in the final third.

The English centre-back did enough to keep the opposition attackers frustrated throughout the game.

The Senegal international was a rock at the back and managed to create one good chance going forward.

Cucurella got stuck in with a few solid tackles and had a couple of lively moments in the Wolves’ half.

RM: Conor Gallagher – 8/10

He worked his socks off on the defensive third of the pitch and made a few decent chances in the final third.

CM: Jorginho – 7/10

The Italian anchored the midfield well and had some bright moments in the opponent’s half.

CM: Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 6.5/10

Loftus-Cheek orchestrated a couple of inviting chances in the final third but got replaced in the 65th minute.

LM: Christian Pulisic – 7/10

Pulisic was a constant menace on the attacking end of the field and did well to get his name on the scoresheet in the 54th minute.

CAM: Mason Mount – 8.5/10

He caused all sorts of problems for the opposition defenders and managed to pick up two assists during the game.

ST: Kai Havertz – 7/10

The German international was a real threat in front of the opposition goal and was responsible for scoring the opener in the first half injury-time.


CM: Mateo Kovacic – 7/10

He picked up an assist after coming on as a substitute.

RB: Reece James – 6/10

James offered very little after coming off the bench.

ST: Armando Broja – 7.5/10

He scored Chelsea’s third goal late in the game.

RW: Hakim Ziyech – N/A

Ziyech came on for the final few minutes of the game.

CM: Carney Chukwuemeka – N/A

He didn’t get enough time to influence the game.
