Leicester City did not have a very good start to their season in the Premier League so far as the Foxes have only won one of their first four matches in the competition and are willing to turn their fortune around with a solid performance over the newcomers Huddersfield Town, who faced their first defeat of the season at the hands of a resilient West Ham United side.
The Foxes looked nowhere near the form, which led them to win the Premier League title in the 2o15/16 season, which was supposed to give them the impetus to perform well in the forthcoming seasons as well.
However, they were not able to get themselves going in the last term as well and ended their season in a lowly position. They are, however, trying their level best to get their act together in the following days and get as many positive results as possible under their belt so as to make it a successful season for them in the top flight.
Leicester City don’t have any dearth of talented players in their ranks and are willing to get them to stay back with them in the forthcoming days as well. One of them is the English Under 21 starlet Demarai Gray, who has been a potential transfer target for a number of clubs including the likes of Tottenham and Bournemouth, whose bids were rejected by the Foxes in the recently concluded summer transfer market.
They are now looking to tie down the talented winger at the King Power Stadium for many more days to come.
The player found it difficult in the last term to get regular outings and was reportedly frustrated with his team management, which made him think of leaving the club in the last transfer window. However, he has come off the bench in all four matches for his club so far this term and has played an important role in the attack to make it possible for his side to try and win the contests.
His perseverance and dedication are to be rewarded with a new contract offer from the former Premier League champions, who are willing to give him as many chances as possible for the new season. The player undoubtedly has a very bright future ahead of him and the Foxes are looking to capitalize on his pace and prowess to get them in a better position in the future.
Gray might also come handy for Leicester City in case they are not able to keep hold of their talismanic attacker Riyad Mahrez in the next transfer window. So a new deal for Gray makes sense in more ways than one.
