Tottenham Hotspur are actively looking to bolster their attacking lineup in the summer transfer window. They have identified Crystal Palace attacking player Eberechi Eze as a potential option, according to a report published in The Independent.
Ange Postecoglou wants to play Eze on the wings and believes he could add great value to the squad. However, the signing won’t be easy at all as Manchester City are also in the race. The two clubs might enter into a bidding war to acquire the youngster.
Eberechi Eze has good skills
Eberechi Eze came through the ranks of Queens Park Rangers before joining Crystal Palace on a five-year deal for a reported fee of £17 million in 2020. He managed to impress everyone at his new home and become a valuable player for the side.
The 25-year-old has featured in 20 games this season so far, netting five goals and providing three assists. He is averaging a whopping 2.7 shots, 2.1 key passes and 2.6 dribbles per game. His passing accuracy rate is also above 85% (stats via whoscored).
The English player has played both as an attacking midfielder and on the left wing. He likes to dribble on the field and is also good at taking long shots. His consistency and versatility as an attacking player make him a great weapon for any side.
Tottenham Hotspur are keen to bring a wide player
Tottenham Hotspur already strengthened their attacking unit with the arrivals of Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner in the summer. However, the latter arrived on a loan from RB Leipzig and the club might not trigger the buy option for him.
Hence, Spurs want to target another player in the summer to play on the wide. They have identified Eberechi Eze as a viable option, whose signing will not cost much. On the other hand, they are also interested in getting the signature of Pedro Neto. It remains to be seen whom the club capitalizes but the arrival of a winger is almost confirmed in the summer.
