In a recent tweet, journalist Christian Falk mentioned that Manchester United are locked in a three-way battle for Ajax keeper Diant Ramaj. It has been claimed that the Red Devils are facing competition in the form of Arsenal and Chelsea in pursuit of the German goalie in the summer.

Ramaj’s Impressive Rise In Dutch Football
Ramaj is having a decent campaign at the Amsterdam club as he has managed to establish himself as their first-choice keeper. The German talent has appeared in 27 matches for Ajax this season, conceding 42 goals and securing five clean sheets in the process across various competitions.
The 22-year-old has done well to average 0.7 clearances and 9.1 long balls per 90 minutes in the Dutch Eredivisie. However, he has lacked quality when distributing possession from the back after completing just 73.9% of his attempted passes in the Dutch top tier (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at Ajax will expire in the summer of 2028 which would make it tough for Man United to land him on the cheap in the summer.
Is Ramaj A Good Fit For Manchester United Boss Erik Ten Hag?
Ramaj is a decent shot-stopper at the back as he has got quick reflexes that allow him to make some important saves for his team. He is a solid handler of the ball as well. Standing at 1.89m, the German custodian is a towering presence inside his penalty area but needs to figure out a way to improve his ball distribution if he wants to be a success story at a top club like Man United.
At the moment, Ramaj is a regular starter at Ajax. However, there are some concerns over whether he is good enough to secure a starting spot at Old Trafford if Erik ten Hag decides to bring him on board in the summer.
However, there is no denying that Ramaj has what it takes to offer some healthy competition for Andre Onana and Altay Bayındır at the Mancunian club. The German might even help the Red Devils compete across all fronts in the future. Thus, he would be a decent fit for Man United‘s needs as long as ten Hag is planning to use his services to add more depth to his match-day squad.
