Chelsea welcomed Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win in front of their home fans in the Premier League. The Blues were solid in the first 45 minutes and were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time interval.
Graham Potter’s men pushed on in search of the opening goal and finally found it in the 64th minute when Kai Havertz got his name on the scoresheet. The West London club managed to hang on to their narrow advantage and earned an impressive 1-0 win in the London derby.

Hall kept things solid when defending inside his half and made one key chance in the final third.
CM: Conor Gallagher – 8/10
He anchored the midfield with conviction and engineered some decent chances in the opponent’s half.
CM: Jorginho – 7/10
Jorginho made a lot of important tackles and completed one good dribble from midfield.
RW: Hakim Ziyech – 8.5/10
Ziyech caused all sorts of problems for the opposition defenders and came off in the 88th minute with an assist to his name.
CAM: Carney Chukwuemeka – 6.5/10
He came back to defend at times but lacked quality in the final third.
LW: Mason Mount – 7/10
The English talent was a positive influence at both ends of the field but failed to register a goal today.
ST: Kai Havertz – 7.5/10
Havertz was a constant menace in the final third and scored the only goal of the game in the 64th minute.
