Real Madrid faced off against Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica earlier today as they looked to earn a good result away from home. Los Blancos made a solid start to the game and managed to get to the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
The Madrid giants made a sloppy start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 47th minute when Yeremy Pino found the back of the net for the home team. Karim Benzema equalised for Los Blancos at the hour mark as he managed to successfully convert his penalty. However, Gerard Moreno restored Villarreal’s lead just three minutes later from the penalty spot as the Madrid giants crashed to a 2-1 loss on the road.
