Tottenham Hotspur entertained Portsmouth at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn a good result at home in the Premier League. Spurs were dominant in the first 45 minutes but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Harry Kane finally scored the opening goal for the North London club in the 50th minute. The North London club managed the game well and secured a narrow 1-0 victory in front of their home supporters.

He was a real threat down the right flank and managed to create one decent opportunity in the final third. Emerson was unfortunate to hit the crossbar.

CM: Pape Sarr – 7.5/10

Sarr anchored the midfield with conviction and engineered one key chance in the final third.

CM: Oliver Skipp – 6/10

Skipp worked hard at the centre of the park but struggled to make an impact during his time on the pitch.

LM: Ryan Sessegnon – 7/10

He created some decent chances for his teammates in the opponent’s half and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

RAM: Bryan Gil – 6.5/10

The Spaniard had a few bright moments in the game but failed to register a goal.

LAM: Heung-min Son – 7/10

Son was a constant menace in the final third but there was no goal for him today.

ST: Harry Kane – 8/10

The English striker caused a lot of headaches for the opposition defenders and scored the only goal of the game in the 50th minute.

Spence was solid at the back.

He came on for the final few minutes of the game.
