Everton locked horns with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they looked to grind out a result on their travels. The Toffees made a solid start to the game but conceded the opening goal in the 24th minute when Erling Haaland got his name on the scoresheet. Frank Lampard’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Demarai Gray scored a brilliant goal to equalise for Everton in the 64th minute as the contest finished with a 1-1 scoreline.

He made a lot of crucial clearances when defending inside his half but gave away the ball cheaply at times.
RM: Alex Iwobi – 6.5/10
Iwobi worked hard to help his teammates out at the back when needed and had a quiet game in the final third.
CM: Amadou Onana – 6.5/10
He anchored the midfield with conviction and kept the opposition attackers frustrated for most of the game.
CM: Idrissa Gueye – 7/10
Gueye earned the ball back twice and made some decent chances in the opponent’s half. He has got an assist to show for his efforts.
LM: Demarai Gray – 7/10
Gray scored a wonderful solo goal in the second half to salvage a point for the Toffees.

The English talent made two good runs with the ball but never looked like he would score.
