Arsenal will clash heads with Everton at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon, hoping to pick up a positive result on the final day of the campaign. The Toffees will be coming into the match on the back of a 3-2 win Vs Crystal Palace which secured a place for them in the top flight next season. On the other hand, the Gunners recorded a disappointing 2-0 loss at St. James’ Park on May 17.
Mikel Arteta will probably opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation with a couple of tweaks from the last game as Rob Holding looks likely to make his way back into the starting eleven.
4-2-3-1 Arsenal Predicted Lineup Vs Everton
Defence
Aaron Ramsdale will operate in between the sticks for the upcoming home encounter. The English shot-stopper would hope to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Sunday.
Gabriel Magalhaes will form the centre-half partnership with Rob Holding at the heart of Arsenal’s backline.
Nuno Tavares is a guaranteed starter at the left-back position, whereas Ben White might fill in on the other flank as the right-back. The duo would be looking to stretch the opposition backline and create meaningful chances for the front-men.
Midfield
Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny will fulfil the holding midfield positions, with the former occupying a more defensive role. Martin Odegaard will slot into the attacking midfield role.
Odegaard will be accompanied by Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka on either side, playing on the left and right-wing, respectively.
Attack
Eddie Nketiah will lead the line for the hosts against Everton on Sunday. The 22-year-old striker will fancy his chances of finding the back of the net when he faces off against the Toffees’ defence that has conceded six goals in their last five league matches.
Alexandre Lacazette will have to settle for a place on the bench, but he might be called upon in the latter stages of the game if needed.
