The Blues will be heading into the contest on the back of an unexpected 4-1 loss to Brentford, whereas the Los Blancos recorded a narrow 2-1 victory over Celta Vigo on Saturday 2.

Ben Chilwell (knee) and Callum Hudson Odoi (back problems) remain unavailable for the midweek clash, whereas Christian Pulisic’s availability remains doubtful due to his late return from international duty.
Thomas Tuchel will probably opt for the 3-4-3 formation; however, he is expected to make a couple of changes for the upcoming contest. Jorginho might get the nod over Ruben Loftus-Cheek in midfield, whereas Reece James looks likely to make his way back into the starting eleven.
