Chelsea entertained Brentford at Stamford Bridge earlier today as they look to secure a positive result in front of their home fans. The Blues produced a lackluster display in the first half and went into the half-time interval with a goalless scoreline.

The West London giants finally broke the deadlock in the 48th minute courtesy of a stunning strike from Antonio Rudiger. However, Vitaly Janelt equalised for the visitors just two minutes later before Christian Eriksen completed the turnaround for Brentford in the 54th minute with a good finish.

Janelt found the back of the net once again with a wonderful finish at the hour mark which left Thomas Tuchel’s men with a mountain to climb in the second half. Yoane Wissa went on to put the icing on the cake for the Bees as he scored his team’s fourth goal with a low strike in the 87th minute as Chelsea crashed to a 4-1 defeat in the English capital.

Let’s take a look at how each Chelsea player performed during the match against the Bees.

GK: Edouard Mendy – 5/10

The Senegalese keeper had a horror game in between the sticks for the Blues as he shipped in four goals in the second half.

RB: Cesar Azpilicueta – 6/10

The Spaniard worked hard at both ends of the pitch but won’t be happy with his team’s defensive capitulation in the second half.

CB: Thiago Silva – 5.5/10

The Brazilian centre-half was solid in the first half but looked shaky at the back in the second.

CB: Antonio Rudiger – 6.5/10

The German defender scored a brilliant goal early in the second half but was at fault for gifting Wissa a goal late in the game.

CM: Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 7/10

Kante created a few inviting chances for his teammates but offered very little resistance on the defensive end of the field.

RW: Hakim Ziyech – 7/10

He secured the ball back a couple of times and orchestrated some inviting opportunities for others around him up top.

ST: Kai Havertz – 6.5/10

Havertz didn’t have his shooting boots on and produced a toothless display in the final third.

LW: Timo Werner – 6/10

The German sensation caused a few headaches for the opposition but didn’t do enough to get his name on the scoresheet.
