Real Madrid clashed heads with Celta Vigo at the Estadio de Balaídos earlier this evening as they looked to earn maximum points on their travels. Los Blancos made a bright start to the game and took the lead in the 19th minute when Karim Benzema scored from the penalty spot. The Madrid giants sat on their lead well and went into the half-time break one goal to the good.

Nolito equalised for the home side just seven minutes into the second half when he found the back of the net from close range. Karim Benzema missed a penalty just after the hour mark but made amends in the 69th minute when he scored again from another spot-kick. The match ended with Los Blancos securing a narrow 2-1 win away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Real Madrid player fared during the match against Celta Vigo.

GK: Thibaut Courtois – 7/10

The Belgian keeper made a few decent saves at the back but will be disappointed after conceding a goal early in the second half.

RB: Lucas Vazquez – 6.5/10

Vazquez cleared the danger when needed and created a couple of decent chances in the final third.

CB: Eder Militao – 7.5/10

He was solid when defending at the back and was also quite lively on the ball.

CB: David Alaba – 6.5/10

Alaba made a few important clearances inside his half and did enough to restrict the opposition from scoring more than once.
