Chelsea are set to part ways with their Italian manager Antonio Conte this summer. The former Juventus and Italy boss joined the Blues back in 2016 after Chelsea had finished 10th in the league. The Italian brought about a change in the system and drilled his team well over the season to lead them to the league title in his very first season in England.
The manager has, however, been unable to repeat his heroics this season and that has led to reports that Conte might be on his way out. The manager has repeatedly expressed his disappointment at the Chelsea hierarchy who will not want such a vocal manager criticizing the club’s methods.
It now seems that the Blues board has not only decided to part ways with Conte but are also preparing a summer shopping list for his successor. The report will no doubt be one of great irony to Conte whose biggest problem with the board was the lack of transfer activity at the club.
It is being reported that Chelsea are in the hunt for Manchester United star Anthony Martial. The signing of Martial will no doubt be a big scoop and the player will have a great impact should he join the Stamford Bridge outfit.
Martial arrived at Manchester United after the FIFA World Cup under the tutelage of Louis Van Gaal. The player was an instant success at the club as he helped lift he dull United team and give them some much craved attacking brilliance.
His wing play lifted the Old Trafford faithful to their feet and everyone inside the Theatre Of Dreams were hoping to see the days of CR7 recreated. Martial is just as fast as the Portuguese, better with his dribbling and has an accurate eye for goal.
However, the player’s lack of consistency has seen him fall down the pecking order. Moreover, under new boss Jose Mourinho, the Frenchman has not been given enough chances to prove himself as he is not a typical Mourinho-winger.

This might see him move to Stamford Bridge where he will be hoping to restart his career. The player has all the gift necessary to become a hit on the world stage and Chelsea might just be the platform he will need. The Blues have a talismanic Eden Hazard in the team and Martial’s signature will see them add further firepower upfront.
