Manchester United welcomed Newcastle United at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they looked to secure a positive result at home in the EFL Cup. The Red Devils were lackluster in the first half and conceded the opening goal in the 28th minute when Miguel Almiron got his name on the scoresheet. Lewis Hall doubled Newcastle’s lead just eight minutes later as Man United went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.

Joe Willock put the match to bed at the hour mark as Erik ten Hag’s men crashed to a dismal 3-0 loss at the Theatre of Dreams.
