Newcastle United clashed heads with Manchester United at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they focused on securing a win on the road in the EFL Cup. The Magpies made a quick start to the contest and grabbed the lead in the 28th minute when Miguel Almiron found the back of the net. Lewis Hall scored again for the visitors just eight minutes later as Eddie Howe’s men went into the half-time interval 2-0 up on the scoreline.

Joe Willock scored in the 60th minute which killed the game off. The match ended with Newcastle earning an impressive 3-0 win away from home.

GK: Martin Dubravka – 7/10

Dubravka made two solid stops at the back and secured a well-deserved clean sheet at Old Trafford.

He hardly put a foot wrong in the game defensively and had some bright moments in the Man United half. Livramento ended the game with an assist to his name.

CB: Emil Krafth – 7/10

Krafth cleared the danger when needed and would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.

CB: Paul Dummett – 7/10

He put his foot through the ball when the opposition were on the offensive and did enough to keep them at bay tonight.
