Liverpool will take on Aston Villa as they welcome them to Anfield on Sunday afternoon eager to keep their unbeaten streak alive. The Reds will come into the match on the back of a 2-1 victory against Newcastle United, so we can expect them to be confident going into this home encounter.

Jurgen Klopp will probably opt for a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a few changes to the starting XI for this contest. Virgil Van Dijk remains suspended after being issued a red card in the last outing while Ryan Gravenberch could be handed a debut in the second half of the contest if he is registered in time.

Alisson Becker will feature in between the sticks for the Merseyside club after shipping in one goal versus Newcastle in his last outing. Klopp will ask Joe Gomez to form the customary centre-half partnership with Joel Matip.

Andrew Robertson will operate as the left-back while Trent-Alexander Arnold functions on the opposite flank. Both of them will go forward to provide support from the wide areas and remain compact defensively.

Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo will continue to anchor the midfield for the Reds as they try to dictate the tempo of the game for the Reds at the centre of the park.

Harvey Elliott will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to impress in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Diogo Jota will try to catch the eye as the left-sided wide player while Mohamed Salah hopes to put in a match-winning display from the right.

Darwin Nunez will once again lead the line for the Merseyside club up top. He will be looking to get his name on the scoresheet again.

Cody Gapko will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if Liverpool are in need of a goal by then.
