Manchester United locked horns with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a win on the road in the UEFA Champions League. The Red Devils made a slow start to the contest and conceded the opening goal in the 28th minute when Leroy Sane found the back of the net. Serge Gnabry doubled Bayern’s advantage just four minutes later as Man United went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.

Rasmus Hojlund scored for Erik ten Hag’s side in the 49th minute. However, Harry Kane restored Bayern’s two-goal advantage just four minutes later.

Casemiro scored in the 88th minute to make the contest interesting ahead of injury-time.
However, Mathys Tel killed the game off in the 92nd minute before Casemiro scored again in the dying embers of the game. The Champions League contest ended with Man United suffering a hard-fought 4-3 loss away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Manchester United player performed during the clash against Bayern Munich.

GK: Andre Onana – 6/10

Onana made a handful of solid saves but still ended up conceding four goals tonight.

RB: Diogo Dalot – 6/10

He was far from convincing defensively but managed to create one good chance going forward.

CB: Victor Lindelof – 6/10

Lindelof made some crucial clearances inside his half but couldn’t stop Bayern from wreaking havoc tonight.

CB: Lisandro Martinez – 5.5/10

The Argentine centre-back did his fair share of defending but it was not enough in the end.
