Varane And Wan-Bissaka Get 8 | Manchester United Players Rated In Narrow Win Vs Wolves

Manchester United entertained Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they looked to secure a positive result in front of their home fans. The Red Devils made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Raphael Varane finally broke the deadlock in the 76th minute when he scored with a solid header from close range. Man United hung on to their narrow advantage and secured a 1-0 win at home.

Let’s take a look at how each Manchester United player fared during the match against Wolves.

GK: Andre Onana – 7.5/10

Onana made a lot of important saves at the back and secured an impressive clean sheet tonight. However, he was fortunate not to concede a penalty in the dying embers of the game.

RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 8/10

He performed his defensive duties well and picked up an assist for setting up Varane’s winning goal.

CB: Raphael Varane – 8/10

The French talent cleared the danger when required and ended up scoring the only goal of the game with a good header in the 76th minute.

CB: Lisandro Martinez – 6.5/10

He kept things solid at the back and was accurate with his passing.

LB: Luke Shaw – 7/10

Shaw gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field but offered very little going forward.

CDM: Casemiro – 7/10

He anchored the midfield well and made two good chances in the final third.

RW: Antony – 7/10

Antony caused a lot of headaches for the Wolves defenders but failed to be decisive in front of the opponent’s goal.

CM: Bruno Fernandes – 7/10

He did his fair share of defending and managed to engineer a few decent chances in the final third.

CM: Mason Mount – 6/10

Mount earned the ball back once but offered very little going forward.

LW: Alejandro Garnacho – 6/10

He had a few strikes at goal but failed to find the back of the net.

ST: Marcus Rashford – 7.5/10

The English talent made a few dangerous runs with the ball but struggled to take any of his chances.

Substitutes:

CB: Victor Lindelof – 6/10

He kept things solid at the back in the second half.

CM: Christian Eriksen – 6/10

Eriksen struggled to get into the flow of the game.

LW: Jadon Sancho – 6.5/10

He made one good chance in the final third.

RW: Facundo Pellistri – 6/10

Pellistri had one bright moment in the game.

CM: Scott McTominay – N/A
