Arsenal locked horns with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park earlier tonight as they looked to earn a good result on the road in the London derby. The Gunners made a dominant start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

The North London club made a quick start to the second half and scored the opening goal in the 53rd minute when Martin Odegaard scored from the penalty spot. However, Takehiro Tomiyasu was sent off by the referee just 14 minutes later. However, Mikel Arteta‘s men hung on to their slender advantage and secured a narrow 1-0 win in the London derby.

Let’s take a look at how each Arsenal player performed during the match against the Eagles.

GK: Aaron Ramsdale – 7.5/10

The English keeper was a solid handler of the ball and made a couple of decent saves at the back. He will be quite pleased with the clean sheet tonight.

RB: Thomas Partey – 7.5/10

Partey was a positive influence at both ends of the field and did a good job as a makeshift right-back.

CB: Ben White – 7/10

The English defender made a few important clearances at the back and did enough to restrict the opposition from scoring.

CB: William Saliba – 8/10

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the pitch and was accurate with his passing.

LB: Takehiro Tomiyasu – 5/10

Tomiyasu made two good runs with the ball but let his teammates down by getting sent off in the 67th minute.

CM: Martin Odegaard – 7.5/10

The Norway international scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute.

CM: Declan Rice – 7/10

He anchored the midfield well and made one key chance in the final third.

CM: Kai Havertz – 6.5/10

The German talent had a couple of bright moments in the game but never looked like he would score.

RW: Bukayo Saka – 7/10

He was a constant menace in the Crystal Palace half but failed to register a goal.

ST: Eddie Nketiah – 7/10

Nketiah caused a few problems for the opposition because of his running power. He was unfortunate to hit the post in the first half.

LW: Gabriel Martinelli – 6/10

He struggled to get into the flow of the game and was replaced in the 69th minute.

CB: Gabriel Magalhaes – 6.5/10

Gabriel was a solid presence on the defensive third of the pitch.

CM: Jorginho – 6/10

He added some energy to Arsenal’s midfield.

CB: Jakub Kiwior – N/A

LB: Oleksandr Zinchenko – N/A
