Manchester United will entertain Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford this Saturday afternoon as they look to grab maximum points at home in the Premier League. The Red Devils suffered a narrow 1-0 loss away at West Ham United recently which has drained their confidence ahead of this game.
Erik ten Hag will opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and could be inclined to name a strong starting XI for this game. Both Jadon Sancho and Diogo Dalot will play from the start of this game as ten Hag looks to find the winning formula this weekend.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Wolves
Defence
David de Gea will play in between the sticks for Man United after conceding one goal in his last league outing. Luke Shaw will once again function alongside Victor Lindelof at the heart of ten Hag’s defence as they try to keep the Wolves attackers quiet throughout the 90 minutes.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be a nailed-on starter as the right-back while Diogo Dalot hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Midfield
Christian Eriksen and Casemiro will anchor the midfield for the Mancunian giants as they look to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park.
The talented trio of Jadon Sancho, Bruno Fernandes and Antony will play just ahead of them as part of the Man United attack. All three of them need to link up with each other well so that they can create some clear-cut chances in the final third.
Marcel Sabitzer and Fred will have to settle for a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Marcus Rashford will lead the charge for Man United in the final third. The English striker will once again be ten Hag’s best hope for a goal this weekend.
Anthony Martial will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the contest if the Red Devils are in need of a goal by then.
