Celtic will lock horns with Rangers at the Ibrox Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they look to secure a win on the road in the Scottish Premiership. The Hoops managed to earn an impressive 2-0 win away at Hearts recently which will give them a lot of confidence going into this Old Firm derby.

Angelos Postecoglou will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and could be inclined to keep changes to a minimum for this game. Hence, we can once again expect to see Kyogo Furuhashi lead the charge for Celtic on the attacking end of the pitch while Oh Hyeon-gyu offers cover for him on the bench.

4-3-3 Celtic Predicted Lineup To Face Rangers

Defence

Joe Hart will feature in between the sticks for the Hoops after keeping a clean sheet in his last league outing. Yuki Kobayashi and Carl Starfelt will operate as Postecoglou’s primary centre-halves as they try to keep the Rangers attackers at bay during the 90 minutes.

Anthony Ralston will function as the right-back while Grey Taylor hopes to give a good account of himself as the left-back. Both of them would get the freedom to express themselves in the opponent’s half.

Scott Bain will offer cover for the goalkeeping position on the bench.

Midfield

Reo Hatate, Callum McGregor and Matt O’Riley will make up Celtic’s midfield as they try to dictate the tempo of the game at the centre of the park and orchestrate some clear-cut chances in the final third.

Aaron Mooy and Tomoki Iwata will be named on the bench as they await their chance to influence the game in the second half if Postecoglou opts to call upon their services.

Attack

Daizen Maeda will try to catch the eye as the left-winger while Jota looks to impress from the right flank. Kyogo Furuhashi will once again spearhead Postecoglou’s attack up top. He managed to score versus Hearts recently which will keep him in high spirits ahead of this clash at the Ibrox.

Oh Hyeon-gyu will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if Celtic are in need of a goal by then.
