Liverpool entertained Fulham at Anfield earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a decent start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 39th minute courtesy of Mohamed Salah’s penalty. Jurgen Klopp’s men went into the half-time interval 1-0 up on the scoreline.

The Merseyside club controlled the game well in the second 45 minutes and managed to secure a narrow 1-0 win in front of the Kop.

Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player fared during the match against the Cottagers.

GK: Alisson Becker – 7.5/10

The Brazilian keeper made a few solid saves at the back and earned an important clean sheet at home.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 8/10

He was solid at the back and passed the ball really well going forward.

CB: Ibrahima Konate – 7/10

Konate gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and earned a clean sheet in the process.

CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 7.5/10

The Dutch defender dealt with the danger when needed and was a dominant force in the air.

LB: Kostas Tsimikas – 6.5/10

He did his fair share of defending but struggled to impress going forward.

CM: Jordan Henderson – 7/10

He worked hard at both ends of the field and was accurate with his passing.

CM: Fabinho – 6.5/10

The Brazil international managed to impress at times with his contributions at the centre of the park.

CM: Curtis Jones – 7/10

Jones got himself into some dangerous areas but was lackluster in the final third.

RW: Mohamed Salah – 8/10

The Egypt international caused a lot of headaches for his marker and scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot.

ST: Darwin Nunez – 6.5/10

Nunez made two key chances in the final third but was a bit careless with his link-up play up top. However, he deserves credit for earning the penalty which Salah scored.

LW: Luis Diaz – 7/10

He caused all sorts of chaos in and around the Fulham penalty box but failed to register a goal.

Substitutes:

LW: Cody Gakpo – 7/10

Gakpo was a real threat in the final third.

LB: Andrew Robertson – 6/10

He made one important clearance at the back.

ST: Diogo Jota – N/A

Jota hardly had any time to influence the game.

CM: James Milner – N/A

He added some energy to Klopp’s midfield.

CM: Harvey Elliott – N/A
