Arsenal are one of the most successful teams in English football history as they have won plenty of major trophies at the highest level. The Gunners made a great push for the Premier League title in the 2022-23 campaign.

Before we find out how many times the North London giants have won the Premier League title, let’s take a look at their first league success.

When Did Arsenal Win Their First League Title?

Arsenal tasted their first league success in the 1930-31 campaign. The Gunners finished seven points above second-placed Aston Villa in what proved to be an exciting title race in the English top flight that season.

The London outfit went on to lift the league title 12 more times over the years and are currently one of the most decorated clubs in English football history.

How Many Times Have Arsenal Won The League Title?

Arsenal have won the league title 13 times in their history. As mentioned earlier, their first league triumph came in the 1930-31 campaign. The Gunners have lifted the league title three times in the Premier League era (via transfermarkt).

The last time the London outfit managed to lift the Premier League title was back in the 2003-04 season when Arsene Wenger spearheaded their title run. The Gunners finished that season 11 points above second-placed Chelsea in the league table. More importantly, they went undefeated that entire campaign which remains one of the most incredible achievements by a club in the history of English football.

Mikel Arteta is now looking to build a strong squad capable of challenging for the league title multiple times over the next decade. Things are looking up for Arsenal fans as they continue to wait for their club to become the champions of England for the 14th time in history.
