Manchester United faced off against West Ham United at the London Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Red Devils made a slow start to the contest and conceded the opening goal in the 27th minute when Said Benrahma scored with a tame shot following a horror mistake for David de Gea. Man United failed to mount a comeback and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Erik ten Hag’s men struggled to find the equaliser in the second half and crashed to a lackluster 1-0 loss away from home.

Let’s find out how each Manchester United player performed during the match against the Hammers.

GK: David de Gea – 5/10

The Spaniard made some solid stops at the back but made a horrible mistake that cost his team the game.

RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 7/10

He performed his defensive duties well and managed to create some decent chances in the final third.

CB: Victor Lindelof – 7/10

Lindelof gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field but there was no clean sheet for him this evening.

CB: Luke Shaw – 6.5/10

He was a strong presence in the air and kept things solid at the back.

LB: Tyrell Malacia – 6/10

Malacia did his fair share of defending but lacked quality going forward.

CM: Christian Eriksen – 6.5/10

The Danish talent had some good moments in the game but failed to create anything of note in the West Ham half.

CM: Casemiro – 6.5/10

He anchored the midfield well and made one key chance in the final third.

RW: Antony – 7/10

Antony showed some flashes of what he can do but was wasteful in front of the opposition goal.

CAM: Wout Weghorst – 6/10

He worked hard but lacked quality on the attacking end of the pitch.

LW: Bruno Fernandes – 7/10

The Portugal international managed to create some inviting chances for others around him but failed to find the back of the net.

ST: Marcus Rashford – 7/10

Rashford caused a lot of headaches for the West Ham defenders and was unfortunate to hit the post.

Substitutes:

ST: Anthony Martial – 6/10

The Frenchman offered very little after coming off the bench.

RW: Jadon Sancho – 6/10

He made one good chance in the final third.

CM: Marcel Sabitzer – 6/10

Sabitzer added some energy to ten Hag’s midfield.

LB: Diogo Dalot – N/A

He didn’t get enough minutes to warrant a rating.

CM: Fred – N/A

The Brazilian talent hardly had any time to make an impact.
