Celtic clashed heads with Rangers at the Ibrox Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a victory on the road in the Scottish Premiership. The Hoops made a poor start to the derby and conceded the opening goal in the fifth minute when Todd Cantwell found the back of the net. John Souttar doubled the home side’s advantage after the half-hour mark with a good header as Celtic went into the half-time interval 2-0 down on the scoreline.

Fashion Sakala killed the game off for the Gers when he scored in the 70th minute. The Old Firm derby ended with Celtic suffering a 3-0 defeat at the Ibrox.

Let’s take a look at how each Celtic player performed during the match against Rangers.

GK: Joe Hart – 6.5/10

He made a few important saves at the back but still ended up conceding three goals today.

RB: Anthony Ralston – 6.5/10

Ralston did his fair share of defending and had a few lively moments in the opponent’s half.

CB: Yuki Kobayashi – 6/10

Kobayashi cleared his lines when needed but will be disappointed after conceding three goals today.

CB: Carl Starfelt – 5.5/10

Starfelt looked shaky when defending inside his half and made some poor errors during the game.

CM: Matt O’Riley – 6.5/10

O’Riley caused a few headaches for the opposition defenders but lacked quality in the final third.

CM: Callum McGregor – 6/10

He struggled to get into the flow of the game and produced an uninspiring performance at the centre of the park.

CM: Reo Hatate – 5.5/10

He made one crucial interception but offered very little in the final third.

RW: Liel Abada – 6/10

Abada struggled to cause problems for the opposition defenders and was replaced in the 62nd minute.

ST: Oh Hyeon-Gyu – 6/10

He was unfortunate to hit the post but didn’t create anything of note in the Rangers half.

Jota was quiet for most of the game and never looked like he would score.

ST: Kyogo Furuhashi – 6/10

Furuhashi didn’t get a sniff at goal.

He offered very little after coming on as a substitute.

CM: Tomoki Iwata – 6/10

He added some energy to Celtic’s midfield.
