Manchester City entertained Bayern Munich at the Etihad Stadium earlier this evening as they focused on securing a good result at home in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie. The Mancunian side made a bright start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 27th minute when Rodri found the back of the net with an excellent strike from long range. Man City controlled the game well and went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Bernardo Silva doubled Man City’s advantage in the 70th minute before Erling Haaland got his name on the scoresheet from close range just six minutes later. The contest ended with Pep Guardiola‘s men earning an impressive 3-0 win in front of their home fans.

Let’s take a look at how each Manchester City player fared during the match against Bayern Munich.

GK: Ederson – 7.5/10

The Brazilian keeper made a few important saves at the back and did enough to secure a clean sheet at the Etihad tonight.

CB: Manuel Akanji – 7.5/10

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the pitch and was a strong presence in the air.

CB: Ruben Dias – 8/10

The Portugal international did his fair share of defending inside his half and was a threat going forward.

CB: Nathan Ake – 8/10

Ake didn’t put a foot wrong at the back and was a threat at the other end of the field as well.

ST: Erling Haaland – 8/10

The Norway international kept the opposition defenders occupied for most of the game and has got a goal and an assist to show for his efforts.
