Manchester City entertained Bayern Munich at the Etihad Stadium earlier this evening as they focused on securing a good result at home in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie. The Mancunian side made a bright start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 27th minute when Rodri found the back of the net with an excellent strike from long range. Man City controlled the game well and went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Bernardo Silva doubled Man City’s advantage in the 70th minute before Erling Haaland got his name on the scoresheet from close range just six minutes later. The contest ended with Pep Guardiola‘s men earning an impressive 3-0 win in front of their home fans.

He was a constant menace on the right flank and got his deserved goal in the 70th minute. Silva ended the game with an assist to his name as well.

De Bruyne came back to defend when required and engineered some decent chances in the final third.

The German sensation had some bright moments in both halves but didn’t do enough to register a goal.

Grealish caused a lot of headaches for the Bayern defenders but there was no goal for him tonight.
