West Ham United entertained Liverpool at the London Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Hammers made a solid start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 12th minute thanks to Lucas Paqueta’s effort from long range. However, Cody Gakpo equalised for the Reds with a decent finish just six minutes later. West Ham managed to get to the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.

Joel Matip ended up netting the winner for Liverpool in the 67th minute as the contest finished with David Moyes’ men suffering a tough 2-1 loss in front of their home fans.

Let’s take a look at how each West Ham United player fared during the match against the Reds.

GK: Lukasz Fabianski – 6/10

He made a couple of solid saves at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet in both halves.

RB: Vladimir Coufal – 6.5/10

He earned the ball back twice and was a strong presence in the air.

CB: Kurt Zouma – 7/10

The French talent gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and made one good run with the ball.

CB: Nayef Aguerd – 6.5/10

He did his fair share of defending but it was not enough in the end.

LB: Aaron Cresswell – 6.5/10

He managed to keep Mohamed Salah quiet for most of the contest.

CM: Tomas Soucek – 6.5/10

Soucek anchored the midfield well but was wasteful in the opponent’s half.

CM: Declan Rice – 7.5/10

Rice offered adequate protection for his teammates at the back and was a great presence on the ball as well.

RW: Jarrod Bowen – 6/10

His pace caused a few problems for the Liverpool defenders. However, Bowen failed to score tonight.

CAM: Lucas Paqueta – 7/10

He got stuck in with a few crunching tackles and scored his team’s only goal with a good strike in the first half.

LW: Said Benrahma – 7/10

Benrahma caused some problems for the visitors on the left flank but lacked quality in the final third.

ST: Michail Antonio – 6.5/10

He worked his socks off in the Liverpool half and picked up an assist for setting up Paqueta’s goal.

Substitutes:

ST: Danny Ings – 6/10

Ings struggled to be a threat up top.

LW: Maxwel Cornet – 6/10

He didn’t have his shooting boots on.
