Liverpool will entertain Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield earlier today as they looked to earn a win at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the third minute when Curtis Jones scored with a good finish. Luis Diaz doubled Liverpool’s advantage just a couple of minutes later when he found the back of the net with a ruthless strike from close range. Mohamed Salah made it 3-0 to Liverpool from the penalty spot in the 15th minute. However, Harry Kane got a goal back for Spurs in the 39th minute as the Merseyside club went into the half-time interval 3-1 up on the scoreline.

Heung-min Son managed to get another goal back for Spurs in the 77th minute before Richarlison scored a dramatic injury-time equaliser for the visitors. However, there was even more late drama as Diogo Jota scored the winning goal for Liverpool in the dying embers of the contest. The contest ended with Jurgen Klopp‘s players earning a last-gasp 4-3 win in front of the Kop.

Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player performed during the match against Spurs.

GK: Alisson Becker – 6.5/10

The Brazilian keeper made a few crucial saves at the back but conceded three poor goals today.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 7/10

He played some excellent passes in the first half and managed to bag an assist for setting up Jones’ opening goal.

CB: Ibrahima Konate – 6.5/10

The French defender did his fair share of defending but couldn’t stop the visitors from causing problems on the counter.

CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 6.5/10

Van Dijk was a dominant presence in the air but looked shaky at the back.
