Carlo Ancelotti is one of the most successful managers in modern football history. He has managed some of the biggest clubs in the world, including AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Chelsea.

Carlo Ancelotti’s Endeavours With Chelsea

Ancelotti was appointed as Chelsea‘s manager in the summer of 2009, replacing Guus Hiddink. In his first season in charge, Ancelotti guided Chelsea to the Premier League title, finishing one point ahead of Manchester United. He also led the Blues to the FA Cup final in his first season, but they were beaten by Portsmouth.

However, he made up for it the following season, leading the team to a league and cup double. They won the Premier League by nine points and also lifted the FA Cup after beating Portsmouth 1-0 in the final.

Ancelotti’s achievements at Stamford Bridge cannot be understated. He won the Premier League in his first season and followed it up with a league and cup double the following year. He also helped to develop young players and got the best out of some of the club’s biggest stars, like Didier Drogba.

Why Did The Real Madrid Boss Rule Out A Return To Chelsea?

Ancelotti’s time with the Blues was a successful one, but it ended on a sour note. The Italian coach led Chelsea to a domestic double in his first season in charge, winning the Premier League and the FA Cup. However, despite finishing second in the league in his second season, Ancelotti was sacked by Chelsea‘s previous owner Roman Abramovich.

His desire to build long-term projects, which is what he is doing at Real Madrid, and his age and career goals are all factors that have led to him denying a possibility of a return. Despite his past success with Chelsea, Ancelotti has made it prevalent even before that he is not interested in a return to the West London club. He has stated that he is committed to his current role at Real Madrid, having also led the team to Champions League glory and other accolades.

He is a big supporter of the Blues and thinks that Frank Lampard is the right man for the job. While Chelsea looks for a permanent solution, the Madrid boss feels that Todd Boehly should rely on Lampard as he would be the perfect fit for them at Stamford Bridge.
