Aston Villa faced off against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium earlier today as they focused on collecting maximum points on the road. The Villans made a solid start to the game but were held to a goalless draw at the half-time interval.

Ivan Toney broke the deadlock for the home team in the 65th minute. However, Douglas Luiz equalised for the West Midlands club with a controlled finish in the 87th minute. The contest ended with Unai Emery’s men earning a 1-1 draw away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Aston Villa player fared during the match against Brentford.

GK: Emiliano Martinez – 7/10

He was solid in the first half and was replaced at half-time.

RB: Ashley Young – 6/10

Young struggled to get into the flow of the game and was replaced in the 65th minute.

CB: Ezri Konsa – 6.5/10

He cleared the danger when needed and made one decent chance going forward.

CB: Tyrone Mings – 6.5/10

Mings made a lot of important clearances at the back but won’t be happy after conceding a goal in the second half.
