Leeds United will face Everton as they travel to Goodison Park on Saturday hoping to pick up all three points in this away encounter. The Whites come into the match on the back of a 2-0 defeat against Manchester United in their Premier League outing, so they will need to bounce back and give a better performance in order to be safe from the relegation battle.

Jesse Marsch will probably opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to keep the changes to a minimum for this contest. He will remain without the services of Rodrigo, Pascal Struijk and Liam Cooper so we can expect him to name the same starting XI once again.

Defence

Illan Meslier will continue to feature in goal for the West Yorkshire club hoping to secure a clean sheet in this away encounter. Maximilian Wober will form the customary centre-half partnership with Robin Koch at the heart of Marsch’s defence as they try to keep the opposition at bay throughout the game.

Goodison Park
Goodison Park

Luke Ayling will act as the right-back while Junior Firpo continues on the other flank in Struijk’s absence. Both of them would be eager to get forward to stretch the opposition in the final third.

Rasmus Kristensen will look to provide cover for the defensive positions as he takes a spot on the bench.

Midfield

Weston Mckennie and Tyler Adams will anchor the holding midfield position for Leeds United. They will be tasked with shielding the back four and finding a way to create some decent plays for their teammates in the opponent’s half.

Wilfried Gnonto, Jack Harrison and Crycensio Summerville will form the attacking trio tasked with creating enough chances in the front of the goal and providing support to the frontmen.

Brandon Aaronson will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if Marsch opts to call upon his services.

Attack

Patrick Bamford will act as the focal point of the Yorkshire club’s attack. He will have to find ways to pose a threat in front of the opponent’s goal.

Joe Gelhardt and Georgino Rutter will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for an opportunity to catch the eye being impact substitutes if required.
