Tottenham Hotspur will take on West Ham United as they welcome them to North London for this weekend’s Premier League match-up. The Lilywhites come into the match on the back of a tough 1-0 defeat at the hands of AC Milan in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16, so we can expect them to bounce back and return to winning ways in this weekend’s home encounter.
Antonio Conte will make use of the 3-4-2-1 formation and is expected to keep the changes to a minimum. However, Pedro Porro might play from the start as Emerson Royal drops to the bench while Fraser Forster continues in goal under Hugo Lloris’ absence.
3-4-2-1 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted XI Vs West Ham United
As mentioned earlier, Fraser Forster will continue to operate in goal for Spurs in the injury absence of Hugo Lloris. Conte could name a back three of Clement Lenglet, Eric Dier and Cristian Romero as they look to keep the West Ham attackers frustrated during the game.
Davinson Sanchez will be available for selection on the bench as he offers cover for the centre-back positions.
Pape Matar Sarr and Olivier Skipp will anchor the midfield for the North London club as they look to make life tough for the Hammers at the centre of the park. The energetic duo will also have to move the ball well so that they can create enough chances for their teammates up top.
Ivan Perisic will function as the left-sided wing-back while Pedro Porro hopes to catch the eye on the right flank. Both of them will be given the responsibility to stretch the opposition’s defence out on the wide areas.
Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur remain unavailable as the former remains suspended while the latter two are in the treatment room after sustaining injuries.
Heung-min Son will operate as the left-winger as he looks to put in a good showing in the final third.
Dejan Kulusevski would look to weave his magic from the right flank while Harry Kane spearheads the Tottenham attack down the middle.
Richarlison and Lucas Moura will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if the North London club are in need of a goal by then.
