According to a report from Football.London, it was mentioned that West Ham United Boss David Moyes is under tremendous pressure after the squad failed to meet expectations this season. It is speculated that his position at the London Stadium is potentially under threat if he fails to keep the squad away from the relegation battle in the second half of this season.

Reasons For West Ham’s Poor Run Of Form In This Campaign

After challenging European spaces in the last couple of seasons the Hammers are languishing at the sixteenth position in the Premier League with a run of poor performances in the first half of this campaign.

“West Ham have done tremendously well over the last three seasons, and we were expecting them to be around the top six,”

“Then, they brought some players in and lost form, players who had previously been playing to a high level dropped off, and that’s affected the whole team.”

Said Nigel Winterburn when asked about the situation. The defender mentioned that their bad form in the English first division this season is down to key players being out of form and the Hammers making a number of signings in the summer transfer window which hasn’t worked out for them yet.

Can West Ham United Boss David Moyes Help The Squad Get Away From The Relegation Battle?

David Moyes has previously helped the East London club secure a place in the European competitions and last season they even managed to reach the UEFA Europa League semifinals. Moyes has given West Ham a lot of success in the last couple of seasons but they have somewhat dropped off this season having secured just 20 points from 22 matches in the Premier League. They have only won one of their last five games which doesn’t give a lot of hope to the fans.

However, they have been unbeaten in their last three fixtures including a draw with Chelsea and Newcastle United, so we can expect them to bounce back and remain on track for the remainder of the games in this campaign. Moyes has been given extra time to help his squad gain some confidence and get back in form to save themselves from the relegation battle. The Hammers’ chiefs have faith in the Scottish manager and he has got a squad to work with but only time will tell if the East London club would fare well at the end of this season.
