Tottenham Hotspur have fared well in the January transfer window as they have received a major upgrade in a key position which solves a major issue for them. The Lilywhites have brought in attacking and defensive reinforcements to help them secure a Champions League place at the end of this season.

Tottenham Hotspur Confirmed Signings

Pedro Porro

Porro arrived at Tottenham over a transfer fee of £40 million. He is in impeccable form since permanently moving to Sporting as even in this campaign he has managed to produce several influential displays to make his presence felt at the right flank. He has found the back of the net on two occasions and created seven assists over nineteen appearances this season across all fronts for the Portuguese outfit.

The Spanish talent has been consistent and reliable while featuring on the right flank after averaging 2.6 shots, 2.4 key passes 1.4 tackles, 0.9 clearances and 1.1 dribbles per game in Liga Portugal. Porro would be a real threat going into the wide areas which can allow Kulusevski to venture deep inside the opponent’s backline and in turn open up attacking opportunities from the right side as well.

Arnaut Danjuma

Danjuma came aboard at North London in a dramatic twist just days after speculations of him joining Everton were being made. He has struggled to give a good account of himself for Villareal this season. The winger just found the back of the net twice in ten league matches for the Spanish outfit during this campaign across multiple competitions.

The Dutch talent needs to find a way to influence the game a bit more on the attacking end of the field as he only averaged 1.2 shots and 0.5 key passes per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has struggled to be accurate with his link-up play in the opponent’s half after completing 74.7% of his attempted passes in the Spanish top tier (stats via whoscored).

Danjuma has failed to be prolific in front of the opponent’s goal, so he would mostly take a spot on the bench only to provide cover for the attackers in the final third.

Confirmed Tottenham Departures

Matt Doherty – Atletico Madrid, Free

Matt Doherty was sold to Atletico Madrid for free after Pedro Porro’s arrival in North London. It comes as a shock for the Irish defender as he has done well to provide cover on the right flank whereas Emerson Royal has struggled to be productive instead.

Bryan Gil – Sevilla, Loan

Djed Spence – Rennes, Loan

Apart from these, a few ins and outs have occurred in the youth academy which sums up Spurs’ January transfer business with just one major singing to add to their side.
