Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur renew hostilities after a six-goal thriller in their last encounter two weeks ago. The Sky Blues come into the match on the back of a narrow 1-0 victory over Arsenal while Spurs recorded a 3-0 win against Preston which will see both of them advance into the fifth round of the FA Cup. However, we can expect this Premier League encounter to be a fierce competition between the two when they face each other on Sunday night in North London.

Manchester City Vs Tottenham Hotspur: Talking Tactics

Pep Guardiola would probably make use of the 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a couple of changes to the match-day squad. Aymeric Laporte seems likely to make his way back into the starting XI as John Stones goes to the treatment room.

Assistant manager Cristian Stellini could make use of the 3-4-3 formation and is expected to name a strong first XI for this home encounter. Pedro Porro looks set to make his debut after arriving from Sporting Lisbon and we can expect Harry Kane to lead the charge down the middle.

Team News

Manchester City

Guardiola will remain without the services of John Stones after he came off with a thigh injury during his last match which will see him sidelined for over a month. However, Phil Foden should be available for selection as he should be fit enough to return from his foot injury. Apart from this the rest of the team remains fit and available for selection.

Manchester City Predicted XI

Ederson; Lewis, Akanji, Laporte, Ake; Gundogan, Rodri, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Haaland, Grealish

Tottenham Hotspur

The Lilywhites’ Boss Antonio Conte will be unavailable following an operation to remove his gallbladder, so Cristian Stellini would be taking over. The Assistant coach has been given injury boosts as Lucas Moura and Richarlison have recovered from their respective injuries while Pape Sarr remains doubtful with a hip issue.

Tottenham Hotspur Predicted XI

Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Porro, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Perisic; Kulusevski, Kane, Son
