Manchester City locked horns with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a good result on their travels in the Premier League. The Mancunian club made a slow start to the game but managed to get their noses ahead in the 24th-minute courtesy of Kevin De Bruyne’s excellent finish. However, the Gunners equalised in the 42nd minute via Bukayo Saka’s successful penalty. Both sides went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.

Jack Grealish handed Man City the all-important lead in the 72nd minute with a great finish. Erling Haaland ended up sealing the win for the visitors just ten minutes later when he scored with a clinical strike. The contest ended with Pep Guardiola’s men earning an impressive 3-1 win on the road.

Let’s take a look at how each Manchester City player fared during the match against the Gunners.

GK: Ederson – 6/10

The Brazilian keeper gave away a cheap penalty which Bukayo Saka converted just before the half-time break. Otherwise, he was not tested at all tonight.

CB: Kyle Walker – 7/10

The English talent did his fair share of defending and won a couple of aerial duels. It was a solid performance from him.

CB: Ruben Dias – 7/10

He made a few crucial blocks at the back and was accurate with his passing.

CB: Nathan Ake – 7/10

Ake cleared his lines when needed and was a strong presence in the air.

CM: Rodri – 7.5/10

Rodri anchored the midfield with a lot of conviction and was quite lively in the final third.

CM: Bernardo Silva – 7/10

He got stuck in with some crunching tackles and had a couple of bright moments in the opponent’s half.

RW: Riyad Mahrez – 6.5/10

Mahrez made two decent runs with the ball but lacked quality on the attacking end of the pitch.

CM: Kevin De Bruyne – 8/10

The Belgian international was a constant menace in the Arsenal half and made a real difference tonight by scoring and creating a goal.

CM: Ilkay Gundogan – 7.5/10

He worked hard at both ends of the pitch and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

LW: Jack Grealish – 8/10

Grealish completed some dangerous dribbles on the left wing and scored a great goal to give Man City the lead in the 72nd minute.

ST: Erling Haaland – 7.5/10

Haaland managed to cause a few problems for the opposition centre-backs and finally managed to score in the 82nd minute with a great finish.

Substitutes:

CB: Manuel Akanji – 6.5/10

He was mostly solid at the back.

LW: Phil Foden – 6/10

Foden offered very little after coming off the bench.

CM: Kalvin Phillips – N/A

He came on for the final few minutes of the contest.
