Liverpool locked horns with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn a result on the road. The Reds made a horror start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the fifth minute when Joel Matip scored an unfortunate own goal. Craig Dawson doubled his team’s advantage just seven minutes later with a powerful finish from close range. The Merseyside club went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.

Ruben Neves killed the game off in the 71st minute as he scored a wonderful breakaway goal for Wolves. The contest finished with Jurgen Klopp’s men suffering a disappointing 3-0 loss away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player fared during the match against Wolves.

GK: Alisson Becker – 5/10

The Brazilian keeper made some routine saves at the back but had to pick up the ball three times from the back of his own net.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 5.5/10

Alexander-Arnold was vulnerable at the back but managed to engineer a few decent chances in the final third.

CB: Joel Matip – 5/10

He scored a poor own goal early in the game and looked shaky when defending inside his half.

CB: Joe Gomez – 5/10

Gomez got himself into some poor positions and was caught ball-watching too often when the opposition were trying to break fast on the counter.

LB: Andrew Robertson – 6/10

He was full of energy and running down the left flank but has got nothing to show for his efforts.

CM: Naby Keita – 6/10

Keita got himself into some dangerous areas in the opponent’s half but offered no protection for his teammates at the back.

CM: Stefan Bajcetic – 6.5/10

Bajcetic worked his socks off at the centre of the park but was often overrun by the opposition.

CM: Thiago Alcantara – 6.5/10

He struggled to get into the flow of the game but made some inviting chances in the opponent’s half.

RW: Mohamed Salah – 5.5/10

Salah was a real threat from the right flank but was toothless in front of the opponent’s goal.

ST: Darwin Nunez – 6/10

He made some decent runs behind the Wolves defence but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.

LW: Cody Gakpo – 6.5/10

Gakpo was quiet in the first half but produced a better display in the second.

CM: Jordan Henderson – 6/10

He struggled to get into the rhythm of the game.

LW: Harvey Elliott – 6/10

Elliott didn’t offer much after coming on as a substitute.

CAM: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – N/A

He hardly had any time to make an impact.

LB: Kostas Tsimikas – N/A

Tsimikas didn’t get enough time to influence the game.
