Everton welcomed Aston Villa at Goodison Park earlier today as they focused on grinding out a good result at home. The Toffees made a solid start to the game and were held to a goalless draw at half-time.

Sean Dyche’s men conceded the opening goal from the penalty spot as Ollie Watkins converted his spot-kick in the 63rd minute. Emiliano Buendia ended up sealing the win for the Villans when he scored in the 81st minute. The contest finished with Everton crashing to a poor 2-0 loss in front of their home fans.

Let’s take a look at how each Everton player performed during the match against the Villans.

GK: Jordan Pickford – 6/10

The English talent made a few important saves at the back but still ended up conceding two goals today.

RB: Seamus Coleman – 7/10

He worked his socks off on the defensive end of the field and made a few decent runs with the ball on the right flank.

CB: Conor Coady – 6.5/10

Coady made some crucial defensive contributions at the back and was accurate with his ball distribution.

CB: James Tarkowski – 6.5/10

Tarkowski won his fair share of aerial duels but produced a lackluster display in the second half.
